Shams is a campaign conceived by The Civil Center for National Initiative and diverse civil society organisations in Lebanon.

Kite first developed the identity for Shams in 2016. In 2020 we produced 4 informative videos that throw light on the true nature of the Lebanese system as established in the Constitution and other laws. This includes exposing the sectarian reference in personal status records as void, unless based upon the express request of the individual after reaching adulthood, and explaining the right to conclude a civil marriage within Lebanon.
